Training

Our officers are effective in a variety of situations.  We train and excel in the following areas:

1.) Mace - Our Officers are trained in non-lethal macing techniques for self defense, control, and passive or defensive resistance. Mace is extremely effective and will temporarily incapacitate without physical harm to the individual.

2.) TASER® - Our Officers are trained to use stun gun tasers which are high voltage and low amperage devices used to temporarily disable, control, and defensivly resist assailants.

3.) Baton - Our Officers are trained dealing with the blocking and striking capabilities of the straight expandable baton control and takedown techniques.

4.) Firearms – As a last resort, and for very special situations, our Officers are trained in handgun or long gun retention, holstered defenses, drawn weapon defenses as well as maintaining a long gun in the slung or open positions.

5.) First Aid - Our Officers are trained in First Aid and some advanced medical procedural aid including, preventative disease transmission, calling 911 and dispatcher communications, basic assessment techniques of the injured or ill, scene management, adult child and infant CPR, automated external defibrillation, removal of airway obstructions, bleeding and shock, burns, fractures strains and sprains, allergic reactions, diabetic complications, poisonings, overdoses, seizures, and environmental emergencies.

8.) Restraints - Handcuffing or restraints provide immediate subject control and reduces risk to the officer.

9.) Self defense PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics) -We address a system of controlling subjects by applying as little as 3 pounds of finger touch pressure to selected pressure points on the human body. The application of these pressure points is to control passive or defensive resistance and are highly effective no matter what the size or strength level of the officer.
